BG Sports Registration 2025/2026

ALL BASKETBALL PLAYERS WILL NEED TO ATTEND AN EVALUATION NOVEMBER 8. YOU CAN DROP BY THE CHURCH ANYTIME BETWEEN 9am-12pm

-All children will participate in approximately 13 practices and an 8 game season
-Practices will start the week of December 1st.
-All teams will have a 15 minute devotion at each practice that will be led by the head coach. They will also be given a memory verse that we encourage them to learn.
-Please note: Due to limited coach availability and scheduling constraints, we cannot guarantee specific practice days or times for each child. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility.
-The games will run from January 3rd - Feb. 21st
-We will have an award Banquet the evening of Feb. 21.

Leagues Descriptions:

Please Note: Based on skill assessments conducted by our coaches and referees, some children may be moved up to a higher league level to ensure appropriate development and fair play.

Each age group has it's own league with goals and expectations for the year. They are broken down as follows:

Instructional- (Pre K-Kindergarten)
Children will begin to learn to dribble and shoot, play defense, and be a good sport and teammate.
Games will be played on half-court with 6ft goals.

1st-3rd Grade
Players continue learning game rules (walk, double dribble, fouls).
Referees will begin to call egregious infractions (carrying ball like a football, hard fouls, etc).
Games played on half-court with 8ft goals.

4th-5th Grade
Players are expected to follow most all rules of the game.
Walking, double dribbling, fouls are all called.
Players begin to learn set offensive plays.
Games are played on half-court with 9ft goals.

Practice Availability



  • Instructional Leagues will practice on Saturdays before games in January.




  • All other age groups (basketball players and cheerleaders) will have one practice per week for one hour, starting in December.

Concession Tokens:
Make concessions easier on you. For $16 for the year, your child will recieve a token at the end of each game to use at the concession stand. He/she may turn that token in to select a drink (non soda) and a food or snack item.
